Nobody would have ever predicted that, back in 2018, an Italian Blues artist would have reached a nomination to the most prestigious music award on earth, the Grammy Music Awards, particularly in a genre for which Italian music is not commonly associated with.

But when it comes to Harmonica Maestro and singer/songwriter Fabrizio Poggi, nothing seems to be unachievable, not even taking the Blues, with his fellow friend and hugely talented too Blues Artist Guy Davis, to the Red Carpet of music business with an album like Sonny & Brownie's Last Train.

Major events happening throughout the history of the world, they have always been a constant font of inspiration for artists in any sort of art form, no matter about their cause or the time when said events took place. It is almost like a part of our spirituality get either hugely enriched or wounded, by the consequences of those extraordinary moments, urging an artist to express the emotive impact that such events brought into his/her own world in their own, unique way.

This may be as well the emotional route that brought the Irish Guitar Maestro, Producer and Musical Director Gerry Leonard, to release, under his pseudonym Spooky Ghost, after almost 18 years, the follow-up to an inspired record like 2002's The Light Machine.

Detroit's Powerhouse singer/songwriter Eliza Neals, following the unanimous, huge appreciation coming from fans and music press all over the world, about the 2017 album 10.000 Feet Below and, most recently, for the 2019 Sweet Or Mean EP, must have been feeling surely very eager and excited to release her self-produced and arranged brand new record, called Black Crow Moan.

A live album is always a cornerstone, for an artist, no matter the genre played. It is that moment of vocal and sonic catharsis where an artist can get back to the core of his/her artistry and liberate that freedom of expression that constitutes the artistic essence of every respectable musician.

Blues/Rock Powerhouse Albert Castiglia, therefore, couldn't choose a better, more clear title for his new live album, called Wild And Free, a record where Castiglia unleashes completely his musicianship and mirrors accurately one of the highest points of the Florida-based artist's career to date.

There are not many music genres in the world able to translate, solely through the power of an instrument, the complete array of emotions of an artist as much as Jazz or Avant-Garde are able to.

Since their very beginning, both genres have always allowed total freedom of expression to a music artist without being forced to use spoken words, but relying uniquely on an instrument, like the piano, in the case of the Japanese-born Award-winning Jazz/Improvisation artist Naoko Sakata, to paint a sonic picture of moods, feelings and states of mind of a musician.

Making Art, it is all about allowing an artist expressing his or her freedom of expression through different forms and shapes, sometimes using different tools, so to be able to free the artist's creativity even in a more multi-faceted way.
